In doing a budget revision using NSF funds,  has anyone had the occasion
to take summer salary and use that money for academic year released
time.    If you have,  did you do it on a case by case situation  or for
each NSF award you received.    Would you recommend getting approval
from each NSF Program Official before doing the internal re-budget -
because I understand some programs do not want NSF funds applied to AY
support and that AY support is to be provided strictly by the University
and summer pay should be just for summer work on the project.
