Position Summary for AA - Grant & Contracts Management
The Administrative Assistant (AA) position will provide administrative,
secretarial and clerical support for the Director of Grants and Contracts
Management and the Grants Management Specialist at the National Childhood
Cancer Foundation (NCCF) in Arcadia, CA. NCCF is the grantee organization
for the Children's Oncology Group (COG), a consortium of more than 4,000
clinical and laboratory scientists. In addition to submitting all grants
for the COG, the office manages approximately 300 - 350 subcontracts per
year as well as pharmaceutical agreements and per case reimbursement
agreements.
Minimum Position Requirements
Some college preferred. 2-3 years' secretarial/administrative
assistant experience. Experience with grants and contracts highly desirable.
Proficiency
in computer-based word processing at 50 WPM. Solid experience with computer
applications (Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Access and/or other
database
applications). Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication
skills. Ability to organize, perform multiple tasks and to set priorities.
Ability to work with simple
calculations. Excellent skills in written and spoken English as well as
spelling. Excellent
grammar required.
Additional Information
Salary: $28,675 to $37,994 per year
