SPONSORED PROGRAMS OFFICER 1 POSITIONS The Ohio State University Research Foundation is responsible for the administrative management and oversight of externally funded research activities of Ohio State University faculty. The Foundation is seeking Sponsored Program Officers who will be responsible for all aspects of post-award management of their assigned sponsored projects. Responsibilities of the position include providing guidance and support to Principal Investigators concerning sponsored project management; establishing project accounts and preparing project digests; creating and negotiating subcontract agreements; monitoring project accounts; approving expenditures; resolving problems; and assuring quality customer service by maintaining effective communications with investigators, department and college staff, and sponsors. The incumbents will work in a team setting with other Sponsored Program Officers and Sponsored Program Associates and will be expected to develop and continuously improve skills required for sponsored program administration in a university setting, and to discharge assigned responsibilities with limited direction and supervision. Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; some knowledge/experience with federal and private agency sponsors and contract/grant regulations, procurement and financial control is required; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet, desired.
