Essential Duties: Works with the Associate Director on: advising faculty and/or department personnel in preparation and processing of grant related applications, ensuring compliance with agency and institution policies; assist in preparation/revisions of project budgets and technical writing if necessary, reviewing proposals and preaward revisions according to agency and institution requirements, post-award grant and contract administration of sponsored projects, including post-award revisions, periodic reporting and final reporting, subcontracts and close-out documentation. Prepares subcontracts and other agreements; maintains sponsored project records in accordance with Federal regulations, approved and audited systems and special contract terms; maintains up-to-date knowledge and expertise in federal, state, and other agency regulations and policies; remains current on the federal/state laws and OMB circulars (A-133, A-110, A-21) which affect sponsored program activities; administers the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), working with the appropriate chairperson to assure that protocols are reviewed in a timely and thorough manner, maintains minutes and submits reports as appropriate Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired; One to three years of experience in grants and contract administration and negotiating in a variety of areas (government, industry, foundation, etc.).
