ASSISTANT DIRECTOR - SPONSORED PROGRAMS #2837

Brandeis University, located in Waltham, MA, was founded in 1948.  Though
only 50 years old, Brandeis is an internationally recognized research
university dedicated to the advancement of the humanities, social, natural
and physical sciences.

Applications are solicited for the position of Assistant Director for the
Office   of Sponsored Programs.  Responsibilities for the position include:
Review of research proposals to ensure they meet funding agency
requirements, negotiate research contracts, communicate funding agency
policies to the research community, keep current on federal and private
funding
sources and prepare and administer subcontract agreements. Requires degree,
3-5 years of research administration preferably in a University, strong
computer skills, excellent oral and written communication skills are
necessary, knowledge of sponsored research funding regulations including
OMB Circulars A-21, A 110 and A 133, PHS, NIH and NSF grant policies and
FARs. 6/4, ability to work with a broad range of clients, including
University faculty and staff. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced
enviroment with strict deadlines, and to be able to manage multiple
priorities.
