Re: Assurance Signatures Sally Eckert-Tilotta 22 May 2001 09:04 EST

We have a list of official signatories for the university. I am at the top of that list, and others are called upon when I am out of town. I sign all assurances except Affirmative Action assurances. The AA officer signs AA assurances. When she isn't available, I sign them. My office keeps the assurances until an award is made. Once an award is made, the grant file is transferred to our grant and contracts office, along with all documents. They keep the file of record from then on.

Could you tell me who at your institution signs off on federal assurances of
compliance (such as compliance with the Civil Rights Act) and what
department keeps the records for signed assurances?

Thanks for your help.
