DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH EDUCATION
Washington University has an immediate opening for a Director of Research
Education. Reporting to the Associate Vice-Chancellor for Research
Administration, the selected candidate will be responsible for the
development of programs that support the educational needs of research at
the University.
In this highly visible position, the incumbent will work closely with all
central areas to coordinate existing educational programs, develop new
programs, maintain records, and monitor the success of program offerings.
The emphasis of the educational programs will focus on policies,
procedures, and compliance responsibilities that result in the ethical
conduct of research and the appropriate stewardship of research funds.
Additional responsibilities will include development and implementation of
communication tools, and the proposal of technological solutions that
enhance research education and compliance programs.
Requirements include 5-7 years of experience with the interpretation,
implementation or enforcement of government grant and contract regulations
within a University, Hospital or private government contractor. Candidates
should also possess experience in project management, have strong
interpersonal and communication skills, and be self-directed. A Bachelor's
degree is required, with a Master's being preferred.
