GRANT ACCOUNTANT
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Required.
Certification in Public Accounting preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years experience in grant related accounting or public accounting
preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills. Ability to
meet deadlines and work independently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with Principal Investigators, other administrative personnel,
and external sources regarding grant funding. Maintains accounting for all
grant awards in accordance with agency requirements. Prepares month-end and
year-end closing entries and reconciliations as scheduled. Prepares invoices
and requests for funds on monthly basis. Prepares and submits reports
correctly/timely as required by the funding agency. Analyzes indirect cost
recovery and other fiscal issues as needed.
