GRANTS and CONTRACTS SPECIALIST II
Dynamic nonprofit public health research organization seeks an
experienced senior level Grant Administrator. Selected candidate will work
with existing grants management staff to manage a portfolio of projects
funded by federal, state and other funding agencies. Post-award activities
include review and approval of project expenses and deliverables,
preparation and monitoring of sub-awards, financial analyses, continuation
and supplemental award applications. Extensive contact with program and
funding agency staff. This position is based in downtown Berkeley.
Requires: Bachelors degree and five years experience in grants and
contracts administration (or equivalent); experience managing awards in a
nonprofit or university post-award office, and knowledge of NIH and other
federal and state research and program management policies. Must have strong
financial and analytical experience as well as excellent interpersonal and
written communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, meet
deadlines and be detail oriented - a sense of humor is a plus! Knowledge of
Excel and Word, and database experience are preferred. Salary depends on
experience with excellent benefits. The position is open until filled.
