I have been asked by the Executive Director of Sponsored Programs at
Syracuse University to post the following position opening for Syracuse
University.

SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY
Research Administrator II

Syracuse University seeks nominations and applications for the position
of Research Administrator.  The Research Administrator must be able to
apply a variety of policies and regulations to unique situations,
articulate approaches to complex situations and provide guidance to
those preparing proposals or administering awards.  The position entails
negotiation of federal and nonfederal research contracts and agreements.

The Research Administrator provides support and assistance to Principal
Investigators and their staff in all aspects including electronic format
of proposal preparation and submission; award acceptance; interpretation
of sponsor guidelines and University policies; assistance in the
development of budgets; responding to sponsor inquiries; and assistance
with problem resolution. This position reports directly to the Executive

Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs.

A bachelor’s degree and training in an administrative area (e.g.,
business administration, management information systems, law, or
technology) and 2-4 years of administrative experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience (in a research environment) is
required. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
