In response to a telephone query regarding my previous post about tracking
compensation for research subjects using social security numbers, please
allow me to clarify. The process results in no additional disclosure of
participation in a study since Accounting is already preparing biling
associated with the study. 1099s report total compensation by social
security number, not itemized by each study. Therefore, no external group
without cause according to the CFRs related to human subjects research can
determine participation in a specific study...Bill
