I can't access the NCURA website this morning, and I'm trying to find out
whether there is a standard response from the sponsored research community
to the whistleblower regulations proposed by DHHS 11/28/00. Comments are
due January 29. These regulations seem like an unnecessary burden on
small institutions who may never have any situations demanding the
procedures that all institutions are supposed to adopt; I'm wondering why
there can't be a set of uniform procedures established by HHS that
institutions could certify that they would use, should a situation arise (in
lieu of adopting their own, customized procedures).
Comments?
