We currently are a pre/post award office that reports through the academic
line.  Grants accounting is a separate function that reports to the VP for
finance.  We are exploring the idea of having my office responsible for
grants accounting.  I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss
this transformation with those of you who have been through it.  If you
would be willing to share your experiences in a phone conversation, please
