grants mgmt software search results Lund, Suzan 08 Jan 2001 15:58 EST
Thanks to all of you who responded. Since several of you asked for the
information for your own depts I thought I'd share with everyone. The most
recommended software is Dyna-Quest's Grants Administrator 2000. The couple
of others mentioned are on a far larger scale than I am looking for.

From Diane O'Neil, Dyna-Quest: "GA2000 is an extremely user-friendly and
powerful database application used by departmental administrators. It
offers an easier and more efficient alternative to using spreadsheets and
other home grown methods for tracking information on a wide variety of
account types (including research awards, clinical trials, grants,
contracts, proposals, discretionary budget lines and more).... Our web site
at www.Dyna-Quest.com <http://www.Dyna-Quest.com> also has product
features, customer comments, and a list of institutions nationwide using
Grant Administrator...."

I downloaded the GA2000 demo from the website above and found it to be very
user-friendly. I also spoke with Diane O'Neil, Product Manager (Diane
O'Neil, Product Manager, Dyna-Quest Technologies, Inc., phone: 978-443-3073,
fax: 978-443-8634, email: xxxxxx@Dyna-Quest.com
<mailto:xxxxxx@Dyna-Quest.com> ). She was very knowledgeable and helpful.
She was able to answer all my questions not answered in the demo. The
reporting capabilities seem to be the most exciting feature. The demo
doesn't do justice to all that is available. I am pursuing a purchase - the
price is VERY reasonable, especially including a 20% discount if purchased
by 1/31/01.

You can download from the main website or try the attachment below...

Good luck!
