Research Administrator: Arkansas Children's Hospital Research Institute in
Little Rock, Ark. seeks a professional research administrator with at least
4 years experience in pre-award services and a B.S. or a B.A. with a
concentration in business or science. Certification in Research
Administration (CRA) or Master's preferred. Must have expert knowledge of
federal regulations regarding grants and expert knowledge of the grant
submission procedures of most extramural funding agencies. Extensive
experience particularly with the extramural granting and awarding procedures
of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the United States Department
of Agriculture (USDA) preferred. Solid understanding of the regulations
regarding the protection of humans and animals in research and other
research administration issues such as managing conflicts of interest,
intellectual property, contracting, regulation of rDNA in research, and
biohazards safety.  Demonstrated experience working with medical faculty and
the faculty of a large university system. Must be a self-starter and have
the ability to mobilize people in a matrix environment consisting of more
than one legal entity. Salary range: $40,000 - $48,000 depending on
