E-Services and Global Partnering Eric Zimmerman 16 Nov 2000 08:28 EST

Dear all,

I am wondering if anyone has come across a study/article on the impact
electronic (Web-based) services (expertise databases, online
co-authoring tools, etc...) are having on the initiation and
strengthening of international R&D ties among researchers. For example,
do expertise (i.e. Community of Science, InfoEd) and partner databases
(i.e. CORDIS, EuRaTIN) lead to bonafide collaborative efforts?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Eric Zimmerman
