Question regarding the NSF Cooperative RUI program.

Reviewing the NSF site, they say that they are integrating the C-RUI program into the overall RUI umbrella, and that there won't be any more separate C-RUI competitions.  A PI here on campus says that she has heard otherwise from an NSF program director - that the 2001 NSF budget has a specific line item for the C-RUI project and that there will be a separate funding announcement for it, with a January deadline.

Can anyone clarify for me?  Any insights would be helpful.  As always, thanks!
