RESEARCH ADMINISTRATOR
RESEARCH & SPONSORED PROGRAMS
The Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine seeks an
administrator to manage, supervisor, and process institutional
educational and research grant applications to external funding
sources. Duties will include: supervise the business, operations and
human resource functions of the office; educate the college community
about funding opportunities; act as the college compliance officer;
direct the preparation of external grant/contract applications; oversee
externally funded grants and contracts; and university funded programs;
prepare reports on research performance; represent the associate dean
and office as appropriate; assist with intellectual property and
technology transfer programs.
Qualifications: Masters degree or equivalent experience in research
administration, public information, or business involving sponsored
programs; experience in grants, preferably in a health care or similar
research setting; strong communication, negotiation, and organizational
skills; familiarity with the legal, regulatory and fiscal issues within
the grants and contract field; ability to use appropriate College
microcomputer; software and data management tools; strong analytical and
problem solving skills; capable of relating to a broad base of academic
disciplines; demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine is a community based
state medical school offering a combined BS/MD program with The
University of Akron, Kent State University and Youngstown State
University. It also has collaborative arangements with Kent State
University
and T he University of Akron to offer graduate-level education in the
biomedical sciences and biomedical engineering leading to masters and
doctoral degrees.
