GRANT AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR III The University of New Hampshire invites applications for the position of Grant and Contract Administrator III within the Office of Sponsored Research. The successful candidate will join an organization with an annual award volume of $78 million from 800 proposals and 900 active accounts. The University of New Hampshire is a land grant, sea grant and space grant university with the majority of our grant and contract funding from NOAA, NASA and NSF. Responsibilities: The Grant and Contract Administrator III is responsible for proposal review through award close-out for a wide variety of sponsors. Specific duties include proposal and budget preparation and review; negotiation of awards including administrative, financial and legal terms; establishment and administration of subcontracts; post-award financial administration including review and approval of award expenditures, compliance with agency requirements, obtaining sponsor approvals, all tasks necessary to close grant/contract accounts; participation in new systems development; produce management reports; participate in site visits and audits; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with department grants managers. Qualifications: Master's degree in field related to business or finance and three years of experience in sponsored programs administration including grant and contract negotiations in an academic environment or Bachelor's degree in field related to finance or business and five years of similar related experience. Applicant must have knowledge of Federal government and private agency regulations and policies, including the Federal Acquisition Regulations as they relate to major government contracts. Excellent oral and written communication, financial and negotiating skills are required. Supervisory ability. Ability to work effectively at a high professional level. Computer (Mac environment). Experience with database, word-processing and spreadsheet applications are required. Applicant must be able to work in a team environment.
