Dear Colleagues:
Sponsored Programs Office of Research and Technology Development at the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia is considering hosting the SRA Teleconference entitled:
"Gifts, Grants or Whatever? Determining How Contributions Should Really be Counted" on September 14, 2000 at Noon - 3:30 p.m. (EST).
Anyone at a university, college, hospital or other nonprofit institution that receives grants, contracts, donations, corporate sponsorship or other monies has probably asked themselves: Just what is the difference? Does it really matter what you call the money? Just how much trouble can we get into if we guess wrong? Will the federal government really mind if we put their money in a gift account?
The Society of Research Administrators (SRA), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and PricewaterhouseCoopers are collaborating to bring you a half day teleconference program involving transactions which are clearly grants, clearly gifts, or clearly "whatever" - gray areas including clinical trials and contractual arrangements such as "pouring rights."
If you wish to join Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in viewing this workshop, please contact
