ANNOUNCES THE FOLLOWING POSITION
The George Washington University, the largest higher education
institution in the nation's capital, is seeking enthusiastic,
organized, customer service-oriented candidates for the following
research administration positions:
Grants & Contracts Accounting Services - Assistant Director
(Requisition #R8195). Responsible for theday-to-day direction of
awards management, cash management, and general ledger
maintenance activities.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Management; a minimum of four years of progressive management
experience in a post-award grants management office in a large,
complex non-profit organization, preferably a university, including
experience in fund accounting and/or grant accounting and grant
budgeting and forecasting; advanced knowledge of computer-oriented
applications and technology; strong interpersonal, communication,
organizational, supervisory, leadership, change management, and
presentation skills; proven ability to work effectively in a team
environment; and a demonstrated willingness to learn and share new
ideas.
Preferred: MBA or Master's degree in a related field and/or CPA
credential, wide experience with the principles, practices, and
procedures relative to Federal and non-Federal sponsored research in a
research medical university, and demonstrated success in business
process re-engineering and/or implementation of new information
systems.
Previous experience with Oracle financial software is desirable for
all of these positions.
