SPONSORED PROGRAMS OFFICER 1

The Ohio State University Research Foundation at The Ohio State University
is seeking a Sponsored Programs Officer 1 to support the university's
research activities in the health sciences. This person works with faculty
and staff in the health sciences colleges, and is a member of a small team
of professional and support staff located in the Health Sciences Office.
Officer provides support and assistance to Principal Investigators and their
staff in all aspects of proposal preparation and submission, and award
acceptance; identifies potential sponsors; interprets sponsor guidelines and
University policies; assists with proposal preparation; develops budgets;
responds to sponsor inquiries; negotiates contract terms; accepts awards and
prepares summary information for post-award staff; assists with problem
resolution; and provides reports and other information to colleges and
departments.

Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in a
business administration or life sciences field, or an equivalent combination
of education and experience. We also seek someone with experience in a
research environment, research administration experience in an academic
setting and familiarity with budgeting/accounting, and familiarity with
Word, Excel and World Wide Web.  Proposed hiring range: $34,000-$40,000. The
university offers a full comprehensive benefits package.
