DIRECTOR OF SPONSORED PROGRAMS

MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY is seeking an individual to research and identify
potential funding sources, assist faculty and staff in conceiving, writing,
and submitting proposals to external sources for support of academic
programs and projects, assist project directors in the financial
administration and preparation of reports related to funded proposals, and
assure compliance with university, federal, and sponsor policies, laws
and/or regulations. Twelve-month non-tenure track position to begin
immediately with salary competitive.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree required, doctorate preferred. Three years
of progressively responsible experience in a university setting (research I
preferred) with a record of direct involvement in the obtaining of federal
and foundation grants and contract administration, outstanding
interpersonal communication skills, knowledge of funding sources,
experience in electronic research administration, excellent writing and
editing skills, as well as effective management, organizational, budgeting
and planning skills. Must be familiar with compliance issues including
human subjects research.
