Molly, we count it as of the date the University issues its official notice of
award and acceptance. That is not done until a fully executed contract or
agency award notice is received and processed through the system. So, we can
have awards that were made in June, but not fully processed until July. These
would be counted in July, which for us is another fiscal year.
I think the important fact here is to pick a method and stick to it, then it
all becomes relative, but at least consistent.
