Here at William & Mary, I will agree with Pat's view and
experience on the subject of AY salary requested from NSF. In
our case(s), it has been for a one-course release time for a regular
faculty member, and 6 months of calendar year pay for an adjunct
research scientist. (We got these) However I don't see it often
asked for here, and we probably process around 40 NSF proposals
a year. I think odds against are very high. But, nothing ventured,
nothing ventured, right? : )
