The Research Administrators Certification Council will host a review
session on Thursday, July 13, 2000 at the Henry Ford Health System in
Detroit, Michigan.  The review course is a one day comprehensive session
from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM with materials which will assist in preparing for
the CRA examination.  The course work, however, can also be beneficial
career training to all personnel involved in Research Administration.

The credentialing examination will be held in conjunction with the annual
SRA meeting in St. Louis, Missouri as well as Ann Arbor, Michigan on
Saturday, October 21, 2000.  The current requirements for the examination
are (1) A Master's degree with a specialization in research administration
or sponsored programs; or (2) A Bachelor's degree plus three years of
substantial involvement in research or sponsored programs administration
either in a sponsoring or recipient organization or the equivalent in a
self funding organization; or (3) Eight years of substantial involvement in
sponsored programs administration either in a sponsoring or recipient
organization or the equivalent in a self funding organization.  (This
option will expire December 31, 2000).
