VCU has an education plan for PI's which we strongly believe meets NIH requirements. It is not limited to survey/interview type researchers -- nor do I think that moving into clinical research makes any difference in the basics faculty researchers should know. See our IRB's website: http://www.vcu.edu/irb/index_1.html, and click on "EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION". We document achievement of training to at least a minimal level.
