Regulatory Compliance Manager
The University of New Hampshire Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) invites
applications for a Regulatory Compliance Manager position. The successful
candidate will join an organization with an annual award volume of $75
million, 600 active human subjects protocols, and 110 animal research
protocols. The University of New Hampshire is a land grant, sea grant, and
space grant university with NOAA, NASA, and NSF providing about 40% of total
funding.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the OSR Executive Director, serve as
administrator and/or advisor to the University regulatory boards and
committees and individual researchers for compliance issues involving human
subjects, animals, health and safety, and sensitive materials. Maintain
current expertise in all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
and procedures and advise university personnel. Establish and lead training
programs in ethics and related topics. Help ensure investigator
compliance. Represent University during site visits and audits. Develop
and maintain information data bases. Recommend new or revised policies.
Serve as an information resource for regulatory issues at the other USNH
campuses. Manage information flow with investigators and OSR grant/contract
administrators for efficient proposal and award processing. Prepare
correspondence and reports. Negotiate assurances. Supervise staff.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus 5 years or Master's degree
plus 3 years in public policy or administration, ethics, business, or other
field related to sponsored programs. Demonstrated proficiency with automated
information systems. Excellent oral and written communication,
interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. (Must be able to work
effectively with the public and University faculty.) Additional Desirable
Qualifications: Experience with human and/or animal subjects regulatory
compliance in university or government setting.
Salary: $41,770 - $64,460; starting salary normally not to exceed $47,440
