How many hours do you work?
Wilma G. Ennenga 18 May 2000 10:20 EST
Our office has discussed for some time how or whether to compensate
managerial professional staff for work in excess of 40 hours per week. We
do not currently have any compensatory time, and must use vacation or sick
leave for personal appointments during the work day. Since some of us work
50-55 hours (or more) per week, this is an important issue for us. I'd
appreciate your responses to the following questions, and I'll summarize
the responses and report back to the group.
1. How many hours, on average, do you and or your staff work per week?
2. Does your office allow compensatory and/or flex time? If so, how is this
handled/reported?
3. Does your office require you to take sick/vacation hours for personal
appointments that are scheduled during the work day?
Thanks,
Winnie
