DIRECTOR OF GRANTS AND CONTRACTS
SUNY Empire State College, a national leader in
individualized and on-line education for mid-career adults,
seeks a highly organized professional in pre-award grant and
contract administration.
The director serves as liaison between funding agencies and
the College, performs searches and disseminates information
about grant opportunities, advises faculty and staff about
the process, reviews and edits proposals, coordinates the
preparation of budgets with the business office, and assures
regulatory and administrative compliance. The director
supervises a research assistant.
A bachelor's degree and experience with state, federal, and
private foundation grants/contracts are required. Superior
writing and applied computer skills are essential. Exemplary
interpersonal skills are needed to work collaboratively and
to coordinate grants development in a collegial, academic
environment. Familiarity with the SUNY Research Foundation
would be helpful.
This position is located in the nationally famous, but
affordable, resort community of Saratoga Springs, NY. Salary
and benefits are very competitive.
