Re: standard reporting formats for grants and financial projections

Vicki --

did you get a response to your inquiry? I did not see one on the listserv,
but perhaps someone responded directly to you.

The answer to your question depends somewhat on the circumstances and award
conditions of the grants your institution is working with, as well as the
established within your own organization regarding the submission of
financial reports. I don't know that there is a one-size-fits-all
spreadsheet for your use.

I have worked with some project directors at my own organization to help
them set up spreadsheets which fit their needs in tracking or projecting
expenditures across a project period, but this often is not the same sort of
information that our accounting department needs and wants. Any sort of
layout which allows a comparison of amounts budgeted with the amounts
expended is a good start.

Subject: looking for standard reporting formats for grants and financial
projections

Can anyone assist me with spreadsheets or a lead on any books that show
standard grant reporting and financial projection formats? I am a fairly
new departmental administrator and could surely use a leg up from those more
experienced than I.

I've got awards with multiple sub projects, each subproject with their own
project budgets. I need to report to the Project leader, as well as provide
consolidated award reports to management with.

Any advice, templates, leads very much appreciated.
