The Wadsworth Center is the multi-disciplinary research and public health
laboratory of the New York State Department of Health.  The Center seeks a
professional to facilitate submission of individual and multi-investigator
grant applications in the biomedical and environmental sciences.  Other
responsibilities will be to:  identify and communicate funding
opportunities to Center investigators; develop and maintain relationships
with key representatives of funding agencies and collaborating
institutions; organize and present workshops on funding opportunities and
proposal development; edit proposals; and develop and maintain databases of
award information.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and three to five
years of sponsored programs administration experience at the professional
level; demonstrated knowledge and ability in electronic research
administration; ability to coordinate and to work with interdisciplinary
teams and with external partners; deadline and detail oriented; strong
interpersonal, grant writing and editing abilities.

Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree and background in the
biomedical or environmental sciences or research administration; experience
as a project administrator/director; and computer literacy, including
database and web development.
