Kansas State University invites applications for the position of
Grants and Contracts Administrator for PreAward Services in
the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. This position
is responsible for the development and administration of a full
range of grants and contracts with federal agencies and sponsors
from both the public and private sectors. The Grant and
Contract Administrator will provide research administration
expertise for a highly visible, full service unit within a University
that has experienced a more than doubling of the extramural
awards received annually in the past decade. Candidates should
possess a B.S. in Business Administration or related area with at
least three years of experience in grant and contract
administration. However, related grants and contracts
experience may be substituted at a rate of two (2) years
experience for each year of education. Solid experience in
budget development, proposal development and contract
negotiation is a must. Candidates must have strong
communication and interpersonal skills. A high level of
computer experience, especially in the area of federal electronic
commerce initiatives desired. Salary will be commensurate with
experience and qualifications.
