Position:               The Office of the Associate Provost and Vice President
for Research has a position opening for the Assistant Director of the
Office of
Sponsored Programs.

The Assistant Director:
•abassists in the review of proposals and awards to ensure compliance with
University and sponsor policies;
•abconducts contract  and subcontract negotiations;
•abassists and advises faculty with preparation and submission of proposals
(including Electronic proposal submissions) and administration of sponsored
projects;
•absupervises the contract administrators;
•abprovides training for new employees; and
•abis responsible for management of the daily activities of the office.

Qualifications: A bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of direct
experience in sponsored programs administration in a University setting or a
Master's Degree and 4 years of related experience is required.  Knowledge of
governmental regulations, ability to work with faculty, staff and sponsor
personnel; ability to analyze and interpret complex contractual agreements;
and
excellent organizational and communication skills are necessary.  Salary is
competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Submit an
