DIRECTOR OF SPONSORED PROGRAMS, Murray State University. Twelve-month
non-tenure track position to begin July 1, 2000. QUALIFICATIONS: Master's
degree required, doctorate preferred. Demonstrated record of successful
academic grants and contract administration. Outstanding interpersonal
communication skills, knowledge of funding sources, excellent writing and
editing skills, as well as effective management, organizational, budgeting
and planning skills. Must be familiar with compliance issues including
human subjects research. RESPONSIBILITES: Research and identify potential
funding sources, assist faculty and staff in conceiving, writing, and
submitting proposals to external sources for support of academic programs
and projects, and assist project directors in the financial administration
and preparation of reports related to funded proposals. Assure compliance
with university, federal, and sponsor policies, laws and/or regulations.
