Position overview: Research Financial Analyst, Mayo Clinic Scottsdale
The Research financial analyst provides financial and analytical support and
guidance in an accurate and timely manner to clinical and administrative
management. He/she works cooperatively with Financial Services staff,
physicians, department/division chairs, administrators and supervisors.
She/he will serve as the focal point for the financial integrity of the
research accounting process. The analyst will be highly skilled in the
preparation of financial analyses, budgeting, and governmental and grant
compliance requirements. He/she will be responsible for presentations of
financial information to both internal and external customers. This position
reports to the Manager of Management Accounting and receives direction from
the Manager, Controller, and Section Head for Decision Support.
Education/Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related Business field required.
CPA or Master's degree desirable.
* Previous experience with postaward governmental grant and contract
management required. Governmental auditing experience a plus.
* Working knowledge of OMB Circulars, A133 Reporting Requirements,
direct and indirect cost allocation, subrecipient monitoring and Federal
Financial Reporting
* Previous accounting experience of 3-5 years required. Healthcare
experience preferred.
* Excel and/or Access software experience required.
* Previous supervisory experience required.
* Previous experience in utilizing analytical skills related to
financial statement review, budgeting and forecasting, etc.

Scottsdale Research also includes support services such as Biostatistics,
IRB and Protocol Development and the Research Computing Facility.
