Hello!

 

My institution will be transitioning to NetSuite – when this happens some have proposed that we forego to the setting up of new subprojects (Parent/Child scenario) and their associated POs each year for those awards which don’t require it

 

The focus: They want to maintain the same PO #s . So we won’t have to close down previous year’s POs and can just amend/extend the existing.

 

My position: We cannot consider maintaining the same PO #s

 

My question:

  1. Does anyone else have experience with foregoing PO #s as it relates to subawards?
  2. Experience in maintaining same PO # for your subaward for all project periods? Rather than new one per budget/project period?
