Job Description

The Research Compliance Coordinator serves the ISU community by facilitating research compliance through outreach, collaboration, and administrative support.  As part of the Research Integrity and Compliance team within the Office for Research, the Research Coordinator sustains established compliance processes and implements new initiatives as needed to ensure research at ISU is conducted in a compliant and ethical manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compliance outreach training to the research community
• Provide administrative support for research compliance committees including the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)
• Conduct export control compliance screenings and status determinations
• Manage the CITI web-based research compliance training system
• Oversee the Financial Conflict of Interest in Sponsored Programs disclosure process
• Assist with other research compliance activities as needed
