The Department of Molecular Biosciences (MBS) in the College of Natural Sciences (CNS) at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking qualified candidates for an exciting new position: Assistant Director for Research. The position is open to current UT employees and external candidates. PURPOSE

The Assistant Director for Research in MBS will serve as a forward-thinking leader, innovative collaborator, and motivational manager to the department’s research administration team. The position will work to innovate, design, pilot, implement, and promote strategies to support excellence in research. SELECT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of research administration, research development, or similar experience
• Demonstrated record of continuous improvement and innovation in organizational processes, e.g., evaluating issues and suggesting and implementing solutions
• Prior management experience or strong leadership potential

SALARY RANGE

$100,000+ depending on qualifications
