Good morning,

 

At PSU if we want any waiver on F&A it must be formally requested through our OSP AVP.  There is no dollar threshold.  In addition, units/PIs are expected to contribute back to the VPR 50% of what the VPR agrees to waive.  Industry is charged a 5% premium above our NICRA rate and I’ve never know that to be waived. Do any of your institutions charge an industry premium? It makes for some interesting conversations.

We have received several requests from PIs that we waive or reduce the IDC on small dollar projects.  I am inquiring to see if any institutions have such a policy or practice, written or unwritten and if you do, what is the dollar threshold?
