Job Opportunity Grant Writer 100% Remote

Job Description - Grant Writer, Office of Sponsored Programs

In an effort to bolster research collaboration, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, self-motivated individual to fill the position of Grant Writer in the Office of Sponsored Programs. This position's incumbent will lead in developing competitive grant proposals for collaborative initiatives and institutional funding priorities. The ideal candidate will have excellent written communication skills articulating funding requirements while fulfilling the university’s mission. Working with a team, the grant writer will often oversee the grant process from start to finish, including developing a competitive proposal ensuring that all compliance requirements are met – institutional and funder. The candidate will also develop and disseminate tools and templates in an effort to streamline the proposal development process, thereby minimizing the potential burden on faculty-led projects. Have the ability to research and interpret funding regulations, guidelines, and standards. We anticipate this person will play a vital role in developing pre-award strategies that help increase institutional partnerships, create winning proposal submissions, and provide funding for each of TCSPP’s nationwide campuses. This position will be location agnostic, requiring a person who can work independently and as part of a team. While the location is flexible, it is preferred that the ideal candidate overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST)/Central Standard Time (CST) and show flexibility in meeting the needs of our colleagues in Pacific Time (PST). You will be part of a team that values integrity and supports each other in fulfilling departmental and institutional missions.

The ideal candidate will be well organized, resourceful, intuitive, and possess a high emotional and situational intelligence that will come in handy daily.
