We’re experiencing issues as well. I thought it was strange because our registration process has been smooth ever since I started at my institution 6 years ago. They said we didn’t pass the CAGE validation process due to name and physical address. I had to send in bylaws, articles of incorporation, and a screenshot of Active and In Good Standing status from the Secretary of State or Division of Corporations. We are not a public university, however, we operate as an auxiliary to a public university - California State University San Marcos, which is probably why we had to provide the good standing status, although I’m not sure.

What’s strange is I didn’t change much while registering. I only updated one of our POCs. That was it. Now, we have an NIH award that won’t be issued until our registration is renewed. And our registration expires 2/29/24.

[CAUTION - EXTERNAL SENDER]

Hello all,

I am also running into issues with sam.gov this year, I have been on calls with the FSD almost daily and the online chat function they advise I use.  It’s concerning as I get daily emails about expiration is coming due soon, but I keep calling daily!

STOP! Use caution when opening EXTERNAL emails from known or trusted senders. Do not open attachments or click on links from unsolicited messages.

Hello Katherine,

We are a Canadian university and in a similar position as yours, while we didn’t encounter such issues for our renewal last year. I will reach out separately and directly to you but hoping others who are experiencing same difficulties also join the conversation.

Best,

Carole
