True, but it is coming.  It’s advantageous to have it, reviewers might access it.  They will have to learn to use it. Wisely, some new investigators may have been raised on database visibility.

Last year, we prepared our faculty to get ready to migrate over to using SciENcv.  Most all have complied and have created their own biosketches using SciENcv.  We also “you tube” video that was created by one of our faculty members that provides a “how to” that was shared with the faculty.  However, we have a few that have told us that it is not mandatory by NIH.  Below is what a faculty member recently sent to us:

Is there something that I am missing?  I attend the FDP meetings and for the past year there has been discussion about this requirement.
