Hi Andrea,

I am sure we have massaged and used at least the face pages of some FDP templates for non-federal use after removing the federal language.  Likewise, we have on a couple of occasions of late, spent much time negotiating federal language out of non-federal agreements that we have received where others are using these templates.

Cheers,
Charna

Is doing this typical?  I am not a fan, if it is.  We have an incoming subaward off a non-federal prime award.  Our sponsor, the PTE, prefers to use the FDP template because they are going to follow the federal guidelines in the administration of this award.  I get that.  And on some very obvious level, the sponsor gets what the sponsor wants.

Nonetheless, our Accounting office is balking because there are so many federal references on the FDP template - on a non-federal award.  And I have concerns that our SEFA will get messed up.

Am I worrying about nothing?  Wouldn't be the first time - not even today!

Oakland University resides on the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary lands of the Anishinaabe, known as the Three Fires Confederacy, composed of the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi. The land was ceded in the 1807 Treaty of Detroit and makes up southeast Michigan.
