Mission of the Office of Sponsored Research: The Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) advances faculty scholarship and institutional strategic priorities by providing life cycle support for sponsored programs from federal and state agencies and some non-profit organizations. OSR serves the academic mission of the College as a center of research development and research administration.
Job Description:
The Director of the Office of Sponsored Research leads the Office of Sponsored Research in service of this mission. The Director is the primary resource for individual faculty seeking research development support through external funding opportunities, primarily from government and some private sponsors. The Director is responsible for ensuring the effective and appropriate implementation of Federal proposal and pre-award mechanisms, and compliance with the conditions of Federal and state awards. The Director serves as OSR's liaison with other key offices on campus, such as The Faculty Center; Finance; Corporate, Foundation and Community Partnerships in Advancement; General Counsel; and Institutional Research. The Director reports directly to the Provost.
