This is a hybrid eligible position based in Moscow ID.
The Assistant Director for Office of Sponsored Programs Operations (AD OSPO) is responsible for policy and process oversight to ensure compliance in submission and administration of all sponsored projects for the University of Idaho, averaging $200-$300M
per fiscal year in proposals and approximately $80-125M million in awards. This position ensures the Sponsored Operations Unit has the training and resources necessary to perform their assigned duties by monitoring federal and sponsor policy changes and working
to design internal processes and procedures to comply with those changes while balancing administrative burden. This position provides strategic management of efficiency implementation and acts as a conduit between the teams. This position establishes priorities,
agendas, and goals in support of the Office of Research and Economic Development’s (ORED’s) and the university’s strategic plans. This position provides financial and administrative compliance advice and guidance to faculty and staff on sponsored projects
and disseminates information on research administration policy and procedural changes via formal training creation and presentation. This position represents the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) by interacting with constituents, sponsors, and stakeholders
to mitigate compliance risks while advancing the university mission.
