The Division of Financial Services is looking for a Sponsored Finance Analyst to join the Sponsored Financial Services team.  This position will:

• Work with data, use excel, data query and spreadsheet tools to obtain and manipulate large data sets and understand the impact on the university financial statements as well as university cost recovery.
• Be responsible for university survey data and support presentation of university financial statement schedules pertaining to Cornell’s contract and grant portfolio at the Ithaca campus. Ensure data integrity through a wide array of quality assurance reports.
• Understand sponsored project agreements and activities, ensuring compliance with specific financial terms and conditions outlined in agreement documents as well as conformity with Federal Uniform Guidance and University policies. Understand and articulate external and internal compliance issues and create procedures and trainings to promote institutional compliance. Work with both internal and external auditors on financial statement, Federal Single Audit, and various internal and external audits.
• Identify areas of process and system improvement, and advocate for implementation through participation in initiatives such as Kuali Financial System and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) dashboard development.
• In addition, this position will provide leadership, training, service, and advice to department personnel with respect to their management of the financial aspects of their awards, particularly relative to compliance issues.

This position is located in Ithaca, New York. The successful candidate will have the option to perform this role at a location of their choosing within the United States.
