The Office of the Vice President for Research at Colorado State University is seeking a COI Director. The Director of the Conflict of Interest (COI) Program reports to the Senior Associate Vice President for Health Policy and Ethics. In
conjunction with other COI staff, this position administers campus-wide compliance initiatives for COIs, COCs and international engagement that support the University’s extensive research program and other program initiatives. This position’s primary responsibility
is the daily management of an effective university-wide COI/COC Program to detect, evaluate, manage and monitor COIs, COCs and international engagement. A seasoned professional with significant experience and knowledge is required.
This position supports and endorses cooperation with CSU compliance and monitoring efforts and reports instances of noncompliance to university leadership. The COI Director will recommend corrective actions in response to violations of
university conflict of interest policies, procedures, and management strategies to appropriate compliance offices. The COI Director will also recommend the suspension or termination of protocol and/or funding for research that is not being conducted in accordance
with CSU requirements, federal regulations, and university and sponsoring agency policies and procedures.
The COI Director is responsible for all record-keeping of committee proceedings and for ensuring that sponsoring agencies are notified of significant conflicts of interest in accordance with federal regulations and university and sponsoring
agency policies and procedures.
