Research & Large Center Development
Reporting to the director of Research & Large Center Development (RLCD), the senior associate supports the crucial Research, Economic Engagement, and Outreach Office (REEO) mission of engaged scholarship by connecting UNH Extension
and outreach programs to researchers or teams of researchers to enhance local, regional, and national impact. The senior associate plays a vital role in helping REEO meet its strategic goals of increasing externally funded research and sponsored programs and
broadening UNH’s visibility as an engaged research university. The position will develop and implement research development services and programs that support engaged scholarship by improving grant-seeking skills, building partnerships, and supporting the
development of competitive, external proposals.

The GCA II ensures compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, and sponsor requirements including the application of OMB’s Uniform Guidance, and proactively provides customer support. The GCA II is responsible
for submitting Federal and non-federal research and grant applications through electronic portals or other means, with or without inflexible deadlines.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Research Administrator in Accounting and Financial Compliance (AFC), Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA), the Grant & Contract Administrator II (GCA II) is responsible for the
post-award financial management and compliance of their assigned portfolio. The GCA II demonstrates proficient and comprehensive knowledge of defined skill areas/applications to integrate fundamental elements from other specialties into work assignments; apply
knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization to complete difficult assignments; promotes a culture that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse team members; ensure safe practices and environmental
consciousness are exhibited in decisions, typically work with minimal supervision on routine assignments, conferring with supervisor on unusual matters. Provides a high level of client satisfaction through strong relationship management skills.
