UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full-time Financial Systems Analyst – Senior to support Magee-Womens Research Institute and Foundation!

This position will work Monday – Friday, day shifts. Hours are subject to change based on business needs. Flexible work schedule, including hybrid or remote arrangements possible!

The Financial Systems Analyst - Senior will work in the Office of Grants and Contracts (OGC) at Magee-Womens Research Institute and Foundation (MWRIF) and will focus on the financial systems analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and skilled in excel, preferably with experience in database management, data querying and reporting, Under the general direction of the management team and senior staff, the Financial Systems Analyst - Senior provides experienced financial analytical services, defining requirements, developing and/or maintaining computer applications/systems, and providing services to meet client IT and business needs.

Responsibilities:

· Perform database maintenance; identify and resolve issues with grants management system.

· Run and analyze financial reports, often from multiple systems; assist in preparation of management reports.

· Perform complex reconciliations and related analysis; prepare or review complex transactions

· Research and synthesize data, develop solutions from large amounts of data, present and implement recommendations. Provide customized data based on the business needs for members of the OGC, management, and leadership of MWRI.

· Create ad hoc templates and technical tools, largely in Excel or Access, for use by the MWRI business office

· Engage in continuous critical analysis of existing systems and processes; make recommendations to achieve greater efficiencies and improve internal controls.

· Data Confidentiality - Security Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.

· Generate monthly/quarterly financial and operational reports and be able to present to the external and internal audience.

· End User Training - Provide training on new grants management system. Facilitate high-level user training sessions independently. May train, coach, and review the work of other staff, as need.

· Process Improvement - Create and update processes. Ability to contribute to process improvement efforts.

· Communication - Responsible for demonstrating appropriate, clear, concise, and effective written and oral communications in all interactions to build relationships and accomplish day to day work and projectsInteractions with Others - Successfully completes projects, tasks, and initiatives by embracing a team-first approach. Seeks feedback from senior team members for development and effectively incorporates feedback into work and behaviors.

Qualifications

: 

· Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience.

· Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and preferably Access.

· Experience in database management, data querying and reporting.

· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

· Strong project management skills and highly detailed-oriented.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

· CPA/MBA preferred.

Salary Range

$29.18 - $49.16
